"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,

I am very sorry to direct this mail particularly to you, though a friend of yours introduced your contact to me, he declared your sincerity in terms of business initiation, advice etc ,i am Henry Kwasi, an orphan, 18 years old, from Abidjan , Ivory Coast, West Africa. I have decided to contact you to be my guardian and to take care of my inheritance until i finish up my education, my father before his death has a building in treichville, one of the towns in Abidjan capital city of Ivory Coast.

My father during his time build Estates and resell later, he involved an Estate Company who does the business with him, before my father died he gave out the document of one of the buildings to his nice staying at the border area of Western Ivory Coast, the house we are talking about is made up of 52 Apartments, my father did not complete this building before he died, the Estate Company dealing with him has to complete the estate building on his behalf on agreement with my father’s nice ,(Nme veronica) but since the building was completed the Estate Company has been in possesion and in the collection of rents as a compensation for the money they spent in completing building the Estate.

An agreement was made with the Estate Company (Agency Immobilier Du Abidjan) with my father’s nice,ie after my father’s death. In the agreement it was specified that the Agency Immobilier after collecting the sum of $560,000 by january 2006 which is the main money they spent for completing the building of the Estate, they should collect another rents of $250,000 as an interest for the assistance to complete the building which has has also been collected. It was last month when my father's nice died that my father attorney presented a testament of inheritance to me, whereby i am the benefactor of the said Estate.

At the presentation of the testament by the family attorney i still found out that i need a guardian hence i have to complete my ediucation, somebody who will be responsible for the rents until i finish my education .by my age i am not authorised to handle the Estate until i am 21 yrs or more.Hence this is the reason of contacting you. I wish to appoint you as my guardian should you accept to be. i will be waiting your urgent reply as soon as possible.

I remain

Henry Kwasi.
