"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Wuluethia Husen,

Thank you for your mail. I am happy that you want to assist me in this
matter, however, I want you to know that this money is my life and my
future, as such, I am being very careful about it. In other words, please do
not disappoint me when this money is transferred into your account.

Furthermore, there is the need for you to always keep this transaction
confidential as I do not want undue publicity about it. Also, as time goes
on, we shall sign an agreement stating clearly our percentages. This is very
fundamental as it will enable us conclude this matter in a respectful and
dignified manner.

I am prepared to offer you 25% of the money. The reason is that along the
line, there is some in-bank staff that I have already promised some
percentages of the fund. They are two actually and they occupy some other
sensitive positions in the bank. These are people that have helped me in one
way or the other to arrive at this final stage of the transaction. Apart
from this, the expenses have been very enormous and I have even borrowed at
astronomical rates. I must be very frank with you,

I want you to know that I have been working on this matter for a very long
time and I have done the major works associated with this fund. I am a very
careful person, as such; I worked on a slow and steady policy without any
mistake. The truth about this matter is that even if we fail to take this
money, the senior directors of my bank will take it and share it among
themselves. They have done this so many times before and all I got was a
handshake and an instruction to cover their track or else I shall loose my
job.

Along the line, I shall obtain Approvals from the High court and enter your
name as next of kin of the deceased to facilitate the transfer. I will
inform you on how this is to be done a mere application and I will follow it
up. More so, most of the things that shall be signed in the bank regarding
this transfer shall be signed by me and the people (my juniors) I can
influence in my bank.

The assurance I shall always give you is that this transaction is 100% risk
free and on your side, I shall be glad if you assure me that my own part of
the money is safe in your hands when it is transferred to your account. As a
career banker, you need not be afraid of anything as I shall obtain all the
relevant international banking documents to ensure that there will not be
any problem once the money arrives your account.

Finally, please find attached a copy of my passport and shall be happy if
you send me a copy of your passport or driving license too.

Call me as you receive these details.

Regards,

Mr. Felix Kante.
