"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Charity Donations.

Dear Friend,

Best of the day to you and hope this meets you well. Kindly permit me this medium to request from you a service, which under this circumstance may come to you as a surprise. I have chosen to resort to this medium of contact for several personal reasons, one mainly due to my fast deteriorating health and also most importantly, because I seek to keep this request strictly confidential.

My name is Miguel Rodriguez of the Philippines. I have been diagnosed with an aggressive esophageal cancer that has defied all forms of medical treatment, and I really haven't got so much time at my disposal as my doctors have informed me that I have but a few more months or less to live.

The main reason I have to contact you is this. I need a reliable trustworthy, able bodied individual who will be in a position to act dutifully as a trustee manager in the disbursement of funds to various charity organizations worldwide on my behalf when I am no longer around. You may rightly wonder why can't I nominate these disbursements by myself to the selected charity organizations without going through the rigors of seeking a trustee manager to handle it on my behalf, the funds in question is presently lodged in a depository overseas.

For now, I am least in a position to travel overseas to handle the paper work involved in the release of the deposit held with this depository due to my present health condition and I will certainly not be abe to follow up the judicious use of any donations made due to my present condition, hence the need for your assistance.

I would look forward to hearing from you with the hope that a mutual understanding or consent is reached between us after which I shall provide you with further details as to the specifics of deposit, location of the depository and the compensation accruable to you for being a trustee manager. Please forward your response to the following email box: (migroddy@primposta.com) that I have just opened for you to reply to only.

I eagerly look forward to hearing from you soonest.

Kind regards,

Miguel Rodriguez
