"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

           REQUEST FOR URGENT ATTENTION.

Attn:

I am Mrs. Winnie Madikizela Mandela, ersthwhile First Lady and wife of the Former President Of South Africa, Dr Nelson Mandela. I do regret any inconveniences the suddenness of this letter may cause you.

As I write now to seek your assistance in this important matter of very urgent and confidential attention, concerning my personal problem. Since the souring of our marriage relationship few years ago, I have continued to suffer undue humiliations in the hands of my former husband Dr Nelson Mandela, who has continued to spread series of false allegations and campaign of calumny against me both on the print and electronic media, locally and internationally purposely to tarnish my good image.

In deliberate attempt to further frustrate me, Dr Mandela has recently called on the South African government to freeze and confiscate all my personal belongings and accounts, lodged within the South African banks and financial institutions, alleging that I had used the advantage of my position as former first lady to amass wealth and divert into my private pocket the huge funds raised from charity for the up-keep of those children, who lost their parents during the obnoxious apartheid regime in South Africa.

consequent upon this development, I wish to write now to ask if you could please help me by using your account to transfer the sum of (Used 10.000.000.00).Ten Million united states dollars only, which I have as a matter of urgency, decided to transfer out of South Africa for proper safe-keeping and to avert the ugly consequences of the purported plan by the South African Government to freeze my accounts. The fund is presently kept under the custody of a private security company here in Johannesburg South Africa.

As I was unable to take the fund out by myself due to certain restrictions by the Government banning me from traveling to overseas for any purpose not even for medical check-up, I thereby solicit earnestly for your help towards this predicament. In case this offer is accepted by yourself, (25%) of the total fund will go to yourself while (75%) will tentatively remain with you for me pending the peaceful resolution of this protracted controversies with my former husband, during which I would then withdraw back my money from your account.

Please let me know your reaction to the above as soon as possible to enable me know how to proceed, as I cannot now afford to forfeit such huge amount of money to the South African Government. I know however, that you might not just find it very easy to immediately accept this very proposal, as we are not yet familiar with each other. But I plead for your understanding to oblige my request. For further enquiries, you can contact Mr. Jeff Mandela who is my only son from my marriage with Dr Nelson Mandela.

He could not withstand the humiliations and frustrations I was going through in the hands of his father, and decided to stay with me as to give me all the support I needed in this time of distress. His private telephone number is 0027 76 322 4360.

I have already directed my Consultant Barrister to arrange a close -door meeting to enable both of us to see face-to-face, as to get acquainted with each other.

Please feel free to contact me through the above e-mail address or call Jeff directly, and possibly to ask any question you deemed important.

I wait for your response.

Best Regards,

WINNIE MADIKIZELA MANDELA. (MRS)
