"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Hello

FROM Mrs. Cecilia Claude.
E-mail: ce_claude@hotmail.com or ceclaude@yahoo.com

I must have to apologize for this unsolicited mail to you. I am aware that this is certainly an unconventional approach to establishing a relationship, but you will realize the need for my action. My name is Mrs Cecilia Claude, the wife of Mr. Rahman Claude from Republic of Cote D Ivoire. I really need somebody who can guard the interest of me and my only son.
Briefly, my husband Mr. Claude was a wealthy Gold/Cocoa merchant who has done International business in many countries for years. Unfortunately he was poisoned to death by his business associates some months ago and he died in a private hospital in Abidjan.
When my husband was on his sick bed before his death he told me that he deposited the sum of Five Million Five hundred thousand United State Dollars (USD5.5M) with a security company in London. This money was kept for
me his wife and our only 11 Years old son. Right now, I am in London. I have been diagnosed of breast cancer; the doctors said that I have a very short time to live on earth. My problem now is that since my husband was poisoned to death by his business associates, I don't even trust any other person here again and to this effect, I do contact you.

I have been asking myself why do I have to pass this sorrowful life with my only son and feeling the pain's since I lost my husband, I and my son have never know a moment of happiness since my husband died. I know from the moment that my husband was killed by poison my race against time had begun. Please we need your help; I will never succeed in trying to paint the picture of the agony I am going through with my son. If you have lost someone who was so dear to you in unexpected circumstance you will probably understand what I went through or what I experienced. Since I have been diagnosed of cancer and I have every short time to live here in this world, I do ask myself what would be the faith of my son when I am no more. An orphan with no experience in this world, I cann't imagine how the world would be for him.

My son cannot return to Abidjan when I am no more there because I am very worried about the political situation of our country. And I cannot trust my son to the hands of my husband's relatives, if you listen to CNN OR BBC you will know about our country Right now, I want you to help me in the following ways:

(1) I want you to stand as our guardian and foreign trustee, and extract this money from the security company in London and then provide a bank account where this amount (USD5.5M) will be deposited.
2) You are going to be the manager of this fund and also our personal adviser in your country, when this fund must have finally enters to your account.
3) You will invest the fund in any business you know will be good in your country or elsewhere.
You are going to receive 30% of the total sum for your assistance to us.
(4) You will accept my son as your child when I am no more, you will be a guardian to him.
I will appreciate if you consider my condition and help me, and I am willing to proceed with you as soon as I have your response. Please try to contact me through my private email address ( ce_claude@hotmail.com or ceclaude@yahoo.com

THIS BUSINESS IS HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL BECAUSE NONE OF MY LATE HUSBAND'S FAMILY MEMBERS KNOWS ABOUT THIS MONEY LEFT BY MY LATE HUSBAND.

I wait your response.

Regards,

Mrs. Cecilia Claude.
