"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Good Day...

Good Day,

Greetings from us with love to you and your family.

We hope you read and understands this letter. We
are Junior & Peggy Verissimo, the children of the
former Guinea-Bissau army chief killed,General Verissimo
Correia Seabre, under the present government of our
home country. Our father was just murdered in cold
blood and now leaving us fatherless. However, our
father's lawyer told us that, prior to his death he was
able to safeguard and diverted the sum £10.3 Million
and moved it out of Guinea-Bissau under the label of
photographic material to a security company in a
neighbouring country,where we are now.

In view of our condition here and the high interest rate
the security company charges, the money could not be
safe there. We would therefore need your honest
assistance to clear this fund from the Security Company
and safeguard it for us in your country.Should you help
us in this regard, you will have 5% of the money for yourself
and guide us further to invest the remaining 90% in any
viable business venture.while 5% is earmarked to cover expenses.

Best regards,

Verissimo's.
