"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Re: Private Message. Clay Lynch

Dear Brother Clay Lynch,

Thank you for your response. I really appreciate your understanding and I consider it important to give you the details of this transaction. This transaction is legitimate and in essence it will undergo normal procedures as stipulated in the financial and allied matters act and all legal documents will be issued in your name. I contacted you to portray you as the next of kin and because you share the same last name with Mr.Paul.B.Lynch(blessed memory) you can put claims to this huge amount he left behind as his next of kin. I want to assure you also that I have every information and documents the finance company may require to approve your claim.

You will be entitled to 40% of the total fund at the conclusion of the transaction, 20% goes to charity because late Mr.Paul.B.Lynch was involved in some charity organisations and he intended to build a charity foundation before his death so i intend to open a charity foundation in his name in order to immortalise his name (about half of the charity funds will be used as our donation to the Tsunami disaster victims), while 40% of the money will be mine because i will provide all the information that will make the finance company to release the money to you. Three days after the release of the money to your account, i will come over to your country for disbursement/sharing of the fund according to the agreed percentage.

Late Mr.Paul.B.Lynch was born in 1944. He worked with Togo Regional Water Scheme Company as an engineer and later retired to private practice as a consultant and formed an oil servicing company called Rex-Cardinal Petroleum Company Ltd. He operated an account with UTB FINANCE Lome-Togo until his death. He had a wife named Ann and a daughter named Nancy who died alongside with him in an auto accident on the 21st of April 2001.

You must understand that in the finance industry, chances or opportunities like this are common but not heard. People put their monies in finance companies and some of these accounts are either coded or confidentially operated, therefore, when such people die what do you think that happens to these monies when nobody comes for their claims? Well, this is one of the numerous avenues good "free" monies are made within and amongst the officials. I did not mastermind my client's death and I did not operate or manage his account but i was his personal attorney so was privy to his transaction with the finance company.

I will appreciate you send to me your full address including/fax numbers and your occupation in your next email.

As soon as you indicate your interest to claim this fund, I will send the text of claim application form and further instructions you will send to the finance company for the claim. Please note that this transaction requires utmost trust, sincerity and confidentiality for its successful conclusion.

You can reach me on : +228-9205776 for further clarifications.

I await your prompt reply.

Best Regards,
Barr Adams Koffi
