"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: FROM MADAME MARI-CLOTE GNASSINGBE EYADEMA,

Dearest one,

Greetings. with warm hearts i offer my friendship and sincerely hope this mesage meets you in good health condition. we know it may be quite surprising for you when you receive this email as you don't know us yet but our present situation and need to leave this africa entirely leaves us with no option but to seek for urgent help from a reliable person. please, it is our hope that you will read this message carefully and with understanding.
i am Madame Mariam Clotilde Gnassingbe Eyadéma from the federal republic of Togo. i am one of the wives of late President Gnassingbe Eyadéma, who died on the 5/2/2005. like you may know, Faure Eyadéma siezed power immediately my husband died and we honestly wouldn't feel safe in our country under his leadership because our relationship with Faure has never been cordial even before the death of my husband. so we had to flee Lome to resettle temporarily in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire. under the pressures from international community, Faure recently made some arrangements to hand over power temporarily to some one he can control. Fambaré Ouattara Natchaba was the president of the assembly nationale and the right person to take power after the death of my husband but Faure made plans to have Abbas Bonfoh placed as interim president while he continue his plots to win the fake presidential election he is planning soon. we arrived Abidjan safely but we are making every effort to keep
our real identities from public due to security reasons. my husband appointed Faure as the minister of communication but he doesn't seem to be contented and he always complain that i influences their father's decisions in family matters, which was not true. he has influence in the army and is very close to the chef d'état-major, Général Zakari Nandja, who helped him to sieze power immediately they announced my husband's death. it wasn't Faure's right to take over power and he wouldn't make a good president when he eventually gets elected, but Fambare Ouattara Natchaba was not in the country when my husband died so Faure through his army friends, seized power forcefully. honestly, we are giving you these details with deep trust and confidence. according to our religious beliefs, we prayed and fasted before we decide to send you this message and we hope that you will understand our need to keep every detail of this matter very confidential, even if you decide not to help
us. we are presently in possession of 18, 000.000 U.S dollars which my late husband deposited in a security company here in cote d'ivoire before his death. he concealed the fund in 2 trunk cases and deposited them at the security company depot for custody. each of this cases conatins 9 million dollars but he didn't want the staffs of security company to know real contents of the cases, so he declared them as containing african arts and paint works for export to a foreign business partner. Due to the constant problems here, my husband decided to make plans to have the cases moved out of africa entirely. sometime before his death, he made some arrangements to have the cases shipped to Europe since he didn't consider it safe to lodge such amount in any african bank with our family name. unfortunalety, only one of the cases was eventually shipped to Europe through the arrangements and 1 case was left at the security company depot here in Abidjan. we now need your assistance
to retrieve the 1 case that is still here in Abidjan and also open a bank account here in your name to lodge the fund for transfer to your country bank. we can always present your name to the security company as the foriegn business partner of my husband who they registered as beneficiary of the cases, since the term "foreign business partner" was only used by my husband for securiry reasons. i have been discussing this arrangements with my son Henri and daughter Serifat and we all agreed to offer you 15 percent of the total fund for your assistance. we will like to invest the balance in lucrative ventures in your country and we will be depending on your guardiance to ressettle finally in your country, once we have the fund safely moved to your country. please, my english is poor but my son Henri attended english school. please send us your private phone number so that Henri will call you to discuss more with you on our behalf.

We will expect your urgent responce.

Madame Mariam Clotilde Gnassingbe Eyadéma and family.
