"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

my name is mr john nationlity of liberian my father mr richard sam he died after ghasty civil war in my country liberian he was a major in the army force and he was killed by the rebels force he deposited money in Ecowas Bank Security Vault, benin republic west africa the amount is $10.5 million dollars my father told my mother that any time i will invest the money that i should seek for foriegn assistance who will help me for transfer and invest the money since . am up to a man i want you indicate your willingness to assist me for this tranfer to be succes . i will send you all the document which my late father use in depositing the money as long that you can assist me any thing you want from us we will do it for this purpose but all we need is your assistance I agree that 30 % of this money
will be for you as foreign partner, in respect to the
provision of a foreign account, 10 % will be set aside
for expenses incured during the business and 60 %
would be for me and my family. There after I will
visit your country for disbursement accoding to the
percentages indicated. i purposely came for this trasfer
i await your urgent respond .
