"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Friend,

I am the above named person from South Africa, but now undergoing medical treatment. I am married to Dr. George Jerry Williams who worked with South Africa Reserve Bank for nine years before he died in the year 2003.He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days. Before his death. when my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of US$9.5 Million (Nine Million five hundred thousand U.S. Dollars) with a finance/security company in Europe.

This money came as a result of a payback contract deal between my husband and a Russian firm in our country’s multi-billion dollar Saldanha Steel plant.

Presently, this money is still with the Security Company. Recently, my Doctor told me that I would not last for the next couple of months due to cancer problem.

Though what disturbs me most is my stroke. Having known my condition I decided to contact you with the hope that you will be of great assistance to me and my family, I took this decision because I have suffered maltreatment and untold hardship in the hands of my late husband’s family, hence the reason for taking this bold decision.

I don’t need any telephone communication in this regard because of my health, and the presence of my husband’s relatives around me always. I don’t want them to know about this fund. As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of my son and the Finance/Security Company in Europe.

I will instruct my son to issue a letter of authority to the security company, that will empower you as the original- beneficiary of this fund, that is if you accept to assist us and as such you will act in full capacity to any deed of instrument as regards to the deposited fund. After that
we go into an agreement on how the money is going to be invest in your country.

I want you and the member of your family to always pray for me, Please always be prayerful all through your life.
Any delay in your reply will give me room in sourcing for other person for this same purpose, please assure me that you will act accordingly as I stated herein. Hoping to hear from you a.s.a.p. Please include your personal phone and fax number.

Please contact me with this my private e-mail address:

Remain Bless

Yours Faithfully,

Mrs. Rose Williams
