"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dearest One,

Greetings to you, I know this letter will be strange to you. It

comes from a young 19 years old girl held up in a war torn

country, Ivory Coast. My father was in government in Sierra

Leone for about 3 years we had no problems untill Johny Paul

Koroma seized power. My father ran with me here and we

decided to take refuge here in Ivory Coast. Things have been

ok untill the killings and political situation here become a

problem. Now he is late and have made investments for me

here, but the situation here is so bad and the building stand to

be taken away by those supporting and not supporting the

government.

My problem is before the death of my father as he deposited

money with a bank here amounting to $7,500,000(seven

million Five hundred thousand dollars) And the only option is

for me to contact a reliable friend with a fatherly and motherly

heart to help me transfer the fund into a safe account in a

foreign country . Then i will move and continue my education

there, I promised that whosoever that help me will stay with

me since my both parents are not alive as well. My relations

have made efforts to come here and pick whatever belongs to

our family but i refused them because they will leave me

without anything for my education. Pls. help me, i compose

this letter with tears.

The Pastor whom i am staying with here has agreed to

cooperate with anybody outside here that want to help me to

stay with Him. Pls. help to get me out of here, the peace efforts

here is not working and rich families are running out. I dont

want to trust blindly to lose everything i have inherited from

my late father. Pls.reply to this private email
