"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,
I may not have the opportunity to write you frequently, Please this is a confidential issued, right now I am under house arrest here in Indian, and the Government accused me of raising fund for the opposition party.
I would like you to sincerely help me move my money out from a finance security company to your country for safe keeping, the sum of US$8.5million dollars is in a security vault with the company.
I would appreciate if you can keep it secret within yourself because my Government has started freezing my account and my asset confiscated. If they discover this deposited money vault on my name with the company, I will loose it. This is only money left for the family. I have two children and their passports were seized from them because not to travel out of the country, this is the reason I am soliciting your help.
I have attached copy of my international passport as proof of my sincere and for your kind reference. If you will be willing to help me safe guard this money let me know and what is the compensation you will be expecting from me after securing the money in your country.
Send you full contact details so that I will pass it to the company for the transfer of the money to you.
