"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

CONGRATULATION$!!!

We the entire staff of Scoop Lotto wishes to congratulate you for being one of the lucky winners in this lottery promotion. This is an independent promotion. No purchase necessary. You received the winning notice because you have visited one of our sponsored sites and have voluntarily submitted your email address to receive mails from their sponsors.
Outlined herein are the 10 Years Anniversary Awards Terms and conditions for claiming your prize:
You must be over the age of 21.
All winnings must be claimed not later than the stipulated deadline (See award notification).
Any entries without valid collection numbers will be declared void.
Any entry late, lost or tampered with will be declared void.
Please ensure that you retain a copy of your initial award notification (Winners may be asked at any time to produce letter)
Upon completion of the claim, your documents will be checked and we will endeavour to deliver your award within 5 days.
The form must be properly filled out. Any wrong information provided will result in automatic disqualification.
You must understand that you were selected for this draw through your email address, so the legalization process is vital because with this we can create a legal link between your lucky email address, the winning details and you. Without the legalized form the National Certification Board (N.C.B). will not issue the certificate of award which entitles you to the prize and without this you have no legal claim on the prize.
By order of the Netherlands authorities all winnings must be legalized in The Netherlands. All winnings must be registered with the National Certification Board. The N. C. B. will issue a certificate of award in acknowledgement of the win, this completes your claim. This process will also enable us to checkmate double claiming and it secures your win to you. However, be informed that failure to fill the form properly will result to the cancellation of your lottery winning.

Winners will be referred to an independent attorney here in the Netherlands to have their win legalized in order to obtain the Certificate of Award from the National Certification Board. (This attorney will act as an arbitrator and is not under our payroll).
At this point, it is pertinent we emphasize that under no circumstance whatsoever does Scoop Lotto charge any kind of fee or request for any amount of money from winners to process their claim. Whatever monetary commitments that may be required from winners are done at the sole discretion of the attorney that winners are referred to for assistance and all negotiations of such shall be between the winner and the attorney, without any intervention from Scoop Lotto.

As the winner you are responsible for the legal charges. These charges are non-deductible from the prize.
The legalization and acquisition of the certificate of award completes the claim process, only those who complete the claim process are entitled to collect the prize.
A double claim will nullify your winnings.
Your funds are already placed in a bank in escrow pending the completion of your claim process.
For security reasons, all prizes have a hard cover insurance preventing it from being withdrawn from or tampered with before it is transferred to the winner.
Employees and their relatives of Scoop Lotto are excluded from participating in this program.
You are obliged to have your name published as a winner.
Do read and understand the terms contained herein before replying because your agreement to the Terms and conditions of Scoop Lotto is binding by law and must be followed through.

Once you are sure you understand these rules, reply to this mail stating that you agree to the terms and that you wish to proceed to claim your prize and we will provide you with the form to start processing your claim.
You are to fill the form and send it to the appointed lawyer (Details will be sent with form). When completed Scoop Lotto will have the bank transfer your prize to you through whichever method you indicated on the form.

The form is available in two formats namely PDF (Adobe acrobat reader) and DOC (Microsoft word). When replying to this mail, specify the format in which you wish to receive it if you have a preference. If you have any questions contact us on the telephone numbers below or provide your telephone number and we will call you. (When calling from the US or Canada replace + with 011).

CONGRATULATION$!
