"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear AMARJIT SINGH,

Thanks for your email. I am very happy that you have indicated willingness to work with me in this transaction which will be for our mutual benefit when concluded. I contacted you to stands as next of kin to the late Mr. John Schelpert deposit fund with our bank and claim the fund in your position for our mutual benefit with my help as insider.

The overning director of our bank have indicated interest to declared the fund unclaimed/ unserviceable. This I don't want to happen as it will not be in my interest considering the fact that they might be up to something in order for them to divert the fund to thier personal gain. It's against this backdrop, that I was mandated to contact you and offer you the opportunity to stands as beneficiary and claim the fund as i shall use my position in the bank to influence the approval of the fund in your position.

I have worked out the necessary arrangement that will eventually grant you the mandate as beneficiary. Also I am part of the members of board of Foreign Partment committee I am convince that you will definately get the approval of the board. I have some vital information about the deceased which i shall forwarded to you as we progress in this transaction.

However, I need your full name and address as well as phone and fax number to enable me contact you for oral discussion. I shall forward application form which you will fill properly and send to our bank demanding for the immediate release of fund to your account upon receipt of your positive response.

I want to assure you that there is no risk involve in this transaction as all security aspect had been properly taken care of to guarantee hitchfree operation.
