"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: urgent assistance

Calvary Greetings To You,My Dearly Beloved In Christ,

This letter is personal, intimate and confidential. Forgive this
unusual manner of contacting you, but this is the only option i have. There
will absolutely be great doubt and distrust in your heart in respect of
this email, coupled with the fact that so many miscreants have taken
possession of the Internet to facilitate their nefarious deeds, thereby
making it extremely difficult for genuine purposes. There is no other way
for me to know whether I will be properlyunderstood, but I have to
reach out to someone. For I know that there will be one that can be
trusted.

I am Mrs. Melissa Conney, wife of late Mr John Conney.I am 57 years
old with no children. We were married for twelve years without a child. He
died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days. Before his
death we were both devoted Christians, When my late Husband was alive he
deposited the sum worth of $8.5million (Eight Million, Five Hundred
thousand U.S Dollars) with a Finance Company in here in Europe.

Since his death I decided not to re-marry.Meanwhile, this money is
still with the bank and the management just wrote me as the beneficiary to
come forward to receive the money or rather issue a letter of
authorization to somebody to receive it on my behalf if I can not come over or
have the funds confisticated.Presently, I am with my laptop in a
hospital where I have been undergoing Chemotherapy treatment for cancer of the
lungs.I have since lost my ability to talk Properly as a result of
impairment in the speech center in the hippocampus area as a result of
complications and Stroke. And my doctors have told me that the ailment is a
terminal one hence i have resorted my faith to Almighty God, hoping to
rest with him in no distant time.Almighty God Giveth and he Taketh.
Though what disturbs me most is the PARTIAL stroke sickness.Having
known my condition I decided to donate this fund to either a Christian
organization or devoted Christian individual that will utilize this money
the way I am going to instructs herein. I want this Christian
organization or individual to use this money in all sincerity to fund
Churches, orphanages, Widows, and also propagating the word of The Holy Bible and
to ensure that the society upholds the views and belief which it
preaches.

The Holy Bible emphasizes so much on God's benevolence and this has
encourage me to take the bold step.I took this decision because I don't
have any child that will inherit this money and and I don't want a
situation where this money will be used in an Unholy manner.Hence the reasons
for this bold decision.
I know that after death I will be with The LORD Jesus Christ. I don't
need any telephone communication in this regard because of my health.

As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact
information of the Finance Company and the country in Europe where the money was
deposited.
I will also issue a Letter of Authority to the Finance Company
authorizing them that the said fund Have being willed to you and a copy of such
authorization will be forwarded to you by my attorney. I want you and
the Christian community where you reside to always pray for me.
My happiness is that I lived a true devoted Christian Life worthy of
emulation. Whoever that wants to serve God, must serve him in truth and
in fairness.
Please always be prayerful all through your life.Until I hear from you,
my dreams will rest squarely on your shoulders.
May the Almighty God continue to guide and protect you.

Regards,
Mrs. Melissa Conney.
