"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Many thank for your response

Dear VICTIM-FULLNAME,

Compelled by your response, I want to thank you for your interest and also to assure you now that this transaction is 100% risk free as the funds were legaly acquired and they are no any problem, But before I go into details let me introduce myself properly.

I am Capt. Johnson Savimbi of the Engineering military unit here in Luanda Angola and I was given the funds by my uncle the late General Jonas Savimbi of Angola when he was in power. He was killed by the Federal Forces during a rebelion in our country few years back. You can consult the link below to find out more.

I need you to provide an address to secure the sum of US$ 9.5 Million. What I need is a scan copy of your identification of any type , with your full name and home address to enable me commence the official shipment formalities at once because it cannot be inspected as I will be using a diplomatic courier service.Time is not on my side.

Due to the fact that I cannot have access to the consignment now at the security company were it is deposited without exposing the funds to other people that is why I have decided to have the it shipped outside the country at once.Upon reciept of the consignment, I would expect you to send me some money from the box to arrange myself and my family to come and meet with you for the sharing.

Finally, you are to forward the items I requested with your direct contact telephone and fax numbers to enable me call you before I commence the shippment and also fax you the airway bill once the due shipping formalities are concluded.I want to assure you that you stand no risk what so ever.

Best Regards,
Capt. Johnson Savimbi.
