"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: DEAR AMARJIT

Dear VICTIMNAME,

Look let me make things clear to you. In every lies there is atom of truth. I due know that scam mail is too many in the internet but I will assure you that all is not scam or fraud.I got your contact through my private search for liable individual that can handle this transaction. In this case I am not in the position to withdraw this money that is the reason I am contacting you.
Secondly, let me tell you how this will go. Since you said that some people have duped you before. I will advice you to come to South Africa and see every thing by yourself before we can proceed. I believe that you know the process and protocol involved in transferring or withdrawing such money, which is in account of a deceased person. To be frank with you I discovered this because of my position in the bank.
I will like you to make out time and visit South Africa. Just inform me then I will make reservation for you and also make sure that you comfortable here. My reason of saying this is to convince you first before we can proceed on this transaction. In case you can’t make it. You can equally send a representative on your behalf here that will also be accepted. I want you to picture me as serious person not one of those fraudsters that you found on Internet.
My regard goes to you and your family,
Mike
