"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Friend,

I have received your email with all happiness and I want to assure you that this transfer of funds is 100% risk free and legal. First the owner of this money is dead and I have gone through his file and have found out that he left no one to inherit his wealth as the Next of Kin. I am glad you replied to assist me in moving these funds out to your account.

I assure you that I will never let you down also I want you to assist me while we move the funds that is already set up in the bank to leave.
All we need now is to get some legal documents from the Probate Registry here through a lawyer to show that the owner of this money instructed it to be paid to you if he is late. All the documents will be procured and copies sent to you while the originals will be sent to the bank to enable them confirm from the court and hit the wire to your account.

I have made provisions for the documents and have been able to obtain some before I contacted you in the first place. I have been in touch with a lawyer here in UK who is standing as the late man’s attorney and he has come to my bank and applied for the release of the funds, which the bank has granted him the power to look for the Beneficiary.

The lawyer’s name is Mr. Ken Franklin. I want you to tell me with all your heart if you will not scam me and if yes, please let’s go ahead. All the things we will do MUST be kept secret within both of us alone and must not be discussed with anyone. I will call you later today or tomorrow when I have received all your details that I will need for the lawyer to obtain the documents from the registry in your name as the final recipient of the $25.5m in my bank.

Below is what I need immediately:

FULL NAMES AND ADDRESS,

TELEPHONE AND FAX NUMBERS (MUST BE PRIVATE)

FULL BANKING DETAILS (PREFERABLY EMPTY ONE) WHERE THE FUNDS WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO.

Once I have received the above, I will immediately forward the details to the lawyer to enable him get the legal approvals on your behalf as the Next of Kin. I have no power over these funds but we can make the transfer out as soon as possible as all the bank awaits now is the name of the beneficiary and account details then the transfer will be done.

Please note that this must be done with utmost secrecy and confidentiality on both sides. All documents will be sent to you via email or fax but the hard copies will be sent to the bank for confirmation and approval before funds are transferred to your account.

Call me on +44-207-099-2094 and email me through this yahoo email address as soon as you receive this message.
Waiting to hearing from you again.

Regards,
Mr.Daniel Mbeki
