"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Details in good faith

Dear VICTIMNAME,

Thank you for your response. I really appreciate it. I have waited your response for long, I am really happy that it finaly came through. I want to assure you that this transaction is not going to affect you in anyway but rather you will be well rewarded for your full assistance. Also, you are not to worry about the shipment charges because I have saved enough money to make the shipment. Before I go into details let me introduce myself properly.

I am Capt. Johnson Pinkolo of the Engineering military unit here in Luanda Angola working under the late General Jonas Savimbi of Angola when he was in power. He was killed by the Federal Forces during a rebellion in our country years back. You can consult the link below to find out more:

www.empereur.com/angola.html

Due to the fact that I cannot have access to the consignment now at the security company were it is deposited without exposing the funds to other people that is why I have decided to have the it shipped outside the country at once. I need your full name, direct phone number and your home delivery address to secure the relevant shipment documents in your name.

I would like to add that the total number of days the consignment will take to get to you will be 3 days after dispatch. The cargo will be registered as family treasure/ effects with the help of a strong contact I have at the diplomatic courier company so you are not going to have any hitch redeeming it.

Please you and I alone can do this without anyone else. This is because of the simple reason that I am a soldier with some limitations; in particularly to handling such funds and I prefer that you keep all these information to yourself alone for our own security due to the amount involved.

You will have to assure me that you will not expose my identity to anybody. If you do wish, I have a legal drafted memorandum of understanding to protect our share/ interest's. I will indicate in such agreement exactly what I expect of you. This is for you to study and if it is ok with you, we sign before I proceed with the shipment formalities. Have a great day at work today and I look forward to your kind response.

Regards,

Capt. Johnson
