"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Attn: VICTIMNAME Your email is well received, since I have been expecting to hear from you.

This $850,000.00 I am instructed to send to you is deposited with the Impex Trust Courier Company, Benin Republic. I will send to you the deposit document (Certificate of Deposit) to enable you claim the deposit as soon as you request for it. Right now, the certificate is with me here in Benin Republic and I will send it to you as soon as you re-confirm your information to me (ie. Full Name, Address and Telephone Numbers as well as your Identification which will be either your international passport or driving license). My boss made the deposit of the consignment containing the funds to the Impex Trust Courier Company for Safekeeping through the assistance of bank's financial auditors, I will as well send to you the picture of the fund as it was taken by one of the financial auditors before the deposit.

So re-confirm your information. As soon as I receive your required information, I will send the certificate to you through email attachment and give you the contact of the security company so that you contact them directly and arrange for the shipment of the box to your delivery address.

I want to inform you that as far as the delivery of this box containing the money is concerned, you will trust and repose confidence in me for I will never betray you, I want you to hold me by my word.

I wait to hear from you.

Yours faithfully,Mrs. Annie AguleriSecretary
