"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Friend,

Re: Accomplishing the work of God.

Calvary greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am Mrs Brenda Rafiu
from Malaysia; presently I am undergoing medical
treatment. I got your contact via The Church of Christ News/Directory. I am
married to Dr.Ahmed Rafiu, who worked with Malaysia embassy in South
Africa for nine years before his death in 2003. We were born in a
Muslim family and married for eleven years without a child. He died after a
brief illness that lasted only for four days. During our years in South
Africa we converted and became born again Christians and our life became
better although, there were big trouble with our family and Islamic
court until today. Since his death I decided not to remarry nor get a
child outside wedlock which Bible is against. When my late husband was
alive he deposited the sum of $9.8 million (nine million eight hundred
thousand United State Dollar) with one finance/security company in Europe. Presently,
this money is still with the Security Company. Recently, My Doctor told me
that I would not last for the next couple of years due to cancer
problem. However, what disturbs me most is that I am diagnosed to developing
stroke soon if some precaution measures is not taken, having known my
condition I decided to donate this fund to church or better still a
Christian individual that will utilize this money according to my instruct
herein.

I want a church or individual that will use this to fund churches,
orphanages and widows to propagating the word of God and ensure that the
house hold of God is maintained accordingly. The Bible made me to
understand that blessed are those that gives than receive. I took this
decision because I have no child that will inherit the money and my husband
relatives are not Christians and I don't want my husband's hard earned
labor to be misused by unbelievers. I don't want a situation where this
money will be used in an ungodly manner, hence the reason for taking
this bold decision. I am not afraid of death hence I know where I am
going. Exodus 14:14 says "that the Lord will fight for my case and I shall
hold my peace." I don't need any telephone communication in this regard
because of my health and the presence of my husband's relatives around
me always. I don't want them to know about this development. With God
all things are possible. As soon as I receive your reply I shall give
you
the contact of the Finance/Security Company in Europe. I will also
issue a letter of authority to the security company that will empower you
as the original beneficiary of this fund, and as such act in full
capacity to any deed of instrument as regards to the deposited fund. I want
you and the church to always pray for me because the Lord is my
shepherd. My happiness is that I lived a life of a worthy Christian. Whoever
that wants to serve the Lord must serve him in spirit and truth. Please
always be prayerful all the time.

Any delay in reply will give me room in sourcing for a Christian
individual for this same purpose. Please assure me that you will act
accordingly as stated herein. I require you to respond to this very urgent and
indicate your readiness or link someone else to help and accomplishing
this mission.

Hoping to hearing from you. If you receive this letter please reply to
the above e-mail address.

Yours in Christ,

Mrs.Brenda Rafiu.
