"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: PLS. MR. VICTIM-FULLNAME, ARE YOU STILL WITH ME?

Dear VICTIMNAME,

How are you today? Please are you still with me? I hopw you received my last mail.

Please it is very Important you get back to me and let me know if you realy want to received package. I told you that I am a serious minded fellow who have no time for frivolities hence this transaction is 100% real and will make meaningful impact in our lives. Also, you should note that for the fact that others failed in a venture does not warrant new people from succeeding in the same venture. “A soldier does not stop soldiering because of his dead colleagues but with strong believe of victory irrespective of any odd against him”.

For once, believe somebody like me on this and let's see where it leads to.

As I am also writing to you, the consignment is right now in custody of an Agent in London who will deliver it to your doorstep upon our mutual understanding to work together. The consignment was labeled "Photographic Equipment" and, the Agent knows nothing about the contents except you and I have the knowledge. What I will do is to obtain papers in your name to authenticate you as the owner / recipient of the consignment and this will be done when we agree to work together. So please I need your mailling address, phone and fax number so that I can forward it to the Agent in London.

To be honest with you this is real. I am a civil servant. I have no bad intend on you rather, it is destiny that is about bringing us together to achieve this goal and I believe it shall come to pass.

Let me have your consent once again.

Thanks and God Bless You,

Mr. Jubril Mustapha.
