"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: RE: Thanks for your response

Dear Amarjit,

However or whatever you feel about my proposal, I must first and foremost express my unreserved gratitude towards your response. At least it has given me the sense that my letter got to its recipient.

I can fully understand your fear and very truly I never said it was going to be an easy feat accepting my proposal, I know perhaps you must have battled with yourself whether or not to be a part of this venture and having accepted I can only tell you that your decision will never be regretted.

The transaction is quit simple and risk free as already explained in my proposal and upon completion, you shall have a certain percentage from the total amount which will be shared after deducting taxes/levies and also the expenses incurred in the process. You are required to stand as the next of kin to the inheritance. You have to provide the account information to receive the funds. As the initiator, I am expected to provide the necessary assistance in getting all the required documents intact in its entire sphere, alternately we can hire the services of an attorney who will assist in procurement of those documents.

To start with, I urgently want you to send me your confidential fax and phone numbers so that I can forward to you, the necessary application forms that is needed to be completed by you and fax back to me so as to enable me submit it to the claims section for processing and approvals. Even though the modalities are all in place, we still have an advantage by virtue of my involvement thus I would appreciate you keep all our correspondence as well as all documentation relating to this deal very confidential.

I want to hear from you as soon as possible to enable us start the process. I implore you to consider this very important so that you can map out a little time out of your very busy schedule to attend to it so that we can finish in good time. We have to work as team and maintain the very confidentiality that the business requires especially because am involved.

On receipt of this message, if it pleases you then we shall get started. Please direct all questions that needs clarification to me and I will make answers available. If you need to speak with me, you can reach me on my number, please make your information available to me so that we can start immediately.

I shall anticipate your urgent response for my action.

Thanks once again for considering it important to advice on the receipt of my letter and willingness to be a part, if need be.

God bless

Adams.
