"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Dear Mr. Amarjit Singh

I recieved your email early today which filled my
heart with a mixture of joy and saddness. Joy because
I can say that my search is supported by divinity who
has made you reply with such a wisdom that clearly
displays your good nature, which is exactly the kind
of person I need in order to help invest in
philantropy /charity ventures (that I had no chance to
do). You shall have your reward. Saddness because
precedents have left you burnt that you are scared of
the truth behind this matter.

Now, before I go ahead and tell you how you can help,
let me provide answers to your question.

This may be a SPAM, this may be the real thing. But
these days, who can really differentiate between SPAM
and the real thing?? Nobody can without divinity
guarding the persons decision. However, to satisfy
your request, I want to assure you here that this is
no spam, this is real, with genuine origin, to be
back up legally, and will be concluded as soon as
possible. However, for you to be sure of this, for you
to be able to believe in this discussion, I want you
to pray to your god and request for direction. Once
you have a sign to go ahead with this, then respnd.
Once you have doubts, do not respond. I will not want
you to be afraid of been scammed again once you get
involved.

Listen, I am presently occupying a bed in a private
clinic in UK, movement impossible and all that. Be it
as it may, I have hired a lawyer for every thing
concerning the cash to clear
legally. This man is a man that can enter any office
enterable in UK and achieve results. Anything that
will make clearing this cash legal, he will take care
of the processing, and link you up with the bank where
fund is logded for onward transfer to your nominated
account. When you get this fund, I will now request
that you use the fund and benefit the life of people
in your country. This lawyer is a very fine gentleman,
a legal expert. This is a man that can enter any
office enterable in UK and achieve results. Anything
that will make clearing this cash legal, he will take
care of anything that will ensure your peace of mind
and easy operation.

But before I link you up to this lawywer, let me
comment on an oversight of yours as per this issue. In
my email before now, I did request for the following:

1. contact mobile and home phone numbers.

This as I said will I use and forward to this
reputable lawyer who would put you through the whole
process. Therefore, I will request you release the
above to me, then I will link you up with the
attorney.

I wait for the reply to this email, then we move
ahead.

Andrew William
P.S. Attached is my International passport for your
use to enable you have a pictural idea of who you are
dealing with.
