"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Notice To Foreign Debts.

RE: SETTLEMENT OF OUTSTANDING PAYMENT.

We write to bring to your notice that the recent extra ordinary meeting jointly held with the Heads of State of all the West African Countries, their international Bank of settlement and some Financial Houses at the ECOWAS-House Lome. The issues deliberated among others are matters concerning settlement of Foreign Debts and finding ways to abolish government stringent conditions imposed by these Finance Houses prior to transfer of funds. Other measures aimed at restoring confidence to foreign investors/companies to the continent were discussed. However, the ECOWAS representatives having watched these ugly developments, and has come up with the following resolutions to enable them avoid future re-occurrence of these unfortunate developments especially to foreign investors (who were denied the opportunity of receiving their funds years back.)

The resolutions are as follows: beneficiaries that are yet to receive their funds are advised not to travel to any payment offices in any country to receive their funds, and that payment of funds should be paid on the description or method of payment chosen by the beneficiary/beneficiaries of the fund concerned either by Telegraphic transfer or issuance of demand bank draft.

In view of the above, this Regional Body has noted that you are among the foreign investors/Beneficiaries as well as those vying for inheritance claims listed that were affected by these bureaucracies and therefore, we write to notify you that all outstanding payments will be effected through our international Bank of Settlement in London UK.

You are urgently required to forward without delay, your payment details including your Banking Details to Mr. Phil D.Jackson, Tel: +44 701 421 2822, +44 701 421 2823 fax no.:+44 871 253 2069, +44 8712530624. E-mail: phild_jackson@yahoo.co.uk

Be informed that re-confirmation/reconciliation of payment details are necessitated in accordance with financial provisions guiding international monetary transactions, which took absolute effect after the September 11 terrorist attack in USA, restricting all financial institutions in Africa from transferring money internationally without proper verification for the source of fund concerned. Please, note that the payment of your fund will be effected to your bank account within 48 hours upon re-confirmation of your banking details tallying with your payment details presently with Mr. Phil D. Jackson (Natwest Bank).

Best Regards,

Dr. Peter Umaru
