"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: to you please, from Lauren Selormey,Accra Ghana

Hello to you please.

my name is lauren Selormey i am 18 years old boy, i am from Ghana by nationality, first i got your mail address from ghana chambers of commerce here in Accra with the help of my mom (Mrs.Helen Selormey) i and my mom (Mrs.Helen Selormey) want to ask for your favor,we just lost our beloved dad not long, and before his death he deposited two metalic trunk boxes contaning $12.6 ,miilion USdollars with a security company here in Accra Ghana,

my mom later showed that i am the next of kin to the trunks, though after the dearth of my dad, there is no way we could claim the trunks due to the fact that we need a foreign beneficiary, all necessary documents are with us here. my family is contacting you to help us clear the trunks from Ghana to your country for investment and we will offer you 25% for your help. please get back to us with your full information so we can take your contact to the security company here in Accra and i will first scan to you the legal documents for you to consider before we will proceed,

regards.
