"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Now my family and I seeking asylum in South Africa under (UNHCR).

I have met the Security Company with the depositional Documents that my
father left behind, of which my name appears as the "Next of Kin" and
presently the Security Company management awaits my coming for the
withdrawal of my father’s consignment with them but it is a problem because
we do not have right to operate a bank account in this country South Africa
because of our refugee status.

I, on behalf of my family earnestly solicit for your assistance to come to
South Africa to withdraw the consignement with us together for immediate
onward transfer of it to your country and then we will follow you back to
your country where we want to settle down forever and invest ther money in
any venture you trust and suggest for us.

After the fund gets into your Bank account in your country 30% of the total
amount will be your and 5% will be used to settle for all the expenses that
might incur in this transaction (Expenses made in traveling, Hotel bills,
communication bills etc).
