"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Accomodation

Good Day,

I am Dr. Anthony Garula from Peru , I will like to make a reservation for a two standard Rooms in your Hotel for my two business parthners from Ivory Coast, for the Period of 29th of July to 7th of August. Kindly provide me the room charges per night and calculate all the ten nights for the two standard rooms (Double Occupany).

Moreover, I will like you to render me a service as I am now in St Lucia for a Business appointment till I will fly over to meet with my Business Partners. I will like you to debit my Credit Card Account with the ammount of 1,420 Euro ( One Thousand Four Hundred and Twenty Euro) to be sent via Western Union Money Transfer or MoneyGram to the travel agent in Abidjan, Ivory Coast for the purchase of the Air Ticket and Travel arrangement of the two guests. As I am not presently at home to make the necessary transfer and here is a very small island the Western Union is not existing here.

The reason I am asking you to do this is that I am responsible for the two guests from Ivory Coast and as I have earlier enphasise that I am not at home to make the direct bank transfer only my credit card is with me to make all the expenses that I may incure and the travel agent that booked the tickets does not have a credit card terminal, so I am oblige to pay cash.

Anticipating to hear from you.

Regards
Dr Anthony Garula

PS. Kindly include the Bank charges for the transaction of the 1,420 Euro.
