"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

My Respect,
With due respect I write to you.
life is made up of things to worry about. Life has many disappointments for all of us ... death, illnesses, betrayals, tragedies, and feelings of worthlessness and despair. Sometimes life can seem so very grim, and so many times we tend to wallow in pools of self-pity.
I would just like to say again ... I believe that our time here on earth gives us the opportunity to grow spiritually. We can experience much personal growth because of all the suffering, worries, and difficulties we have to go through during our mortal lives. It is God's way of fine-tuning us.
I got your contact through a monthly magazine here in Benin republic, as I was making search for foreign assistance, I wanted to facilitate this agreement, but I am relatively new to this environment, and so sought your assistance of a long standing relationship.
Aja is my name 21 yrs old. A SierraLeonean by nationality.I am presently residing in the neighbouring Country republic of Benin as a result of war that ravaged my country couple of years ago.
I wish to share with you in confidence that before I left Freetown to
Benin, there is certain amount of money totalling US$46.6 million, which my Mother has deposited
with a Security Firm here in Benin as a Consignment and the Consignment is due as per mandated for claim. And must be claimed by the depositor or his or her next of kin and for this reason I decided to write you to stand as the next of kin to my late mother since we all bear the same surname.
The Security Firm has just  sent a reminding note to my mother post Office box informing her of the maturity of the Consignment therefore I suggest we expedite action on this please.
I have also resolved to compensate you after, regarding the role which you shall play in this project as this might require your presence at the Security Firm Bureau to receive the Consignment on behalf of my Mother as foreign partner.
As you indicate your interest to work with me, please feel free to contact
me through this email address: (godisgreat_1234@yahoo.com)  to enable me discuss with you closely regarding my request.
Thanking you in advance for your kind and urgent response.
Yours faithfully,
David.
