"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: From Mr Peter Eze

Dear Sir,

This commission was introduced by United Nations to the government of Nigeria and other governments to monitor and checkmate fraud and scam activities going on globally, especially here in Nigeria.

Based on report, we need you to send to us the whole information and western union details you have sent over the years to Nigeria. You can go to our website,efccnigeria.com, to know more about this office.

Our job here is to investigate and get hold of the scammers and fraudsters, that have been extracting money from you. Once you send the information we need, your money will be returned to you officially. And if you are a real Nigerian contractor, you will be paid.

Furthermore, we act based on the information we recieve from you. So we really need information on what you have paid to the fraudsters so far. We are waiting for the informatiom from you as soon as possible. I will send my identity card to you as soon as my scanning machine is rectified and functional.

Thanks.
Mr Peter Eze.
