"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: YOUR TAX CLEARANCE RECIEPT NEEDED FOR CONFIRMATION.

Dear Valued Customer,
We write to inform you that we have received your banking details to transfer your fund into your given bank account but we have been authorised to stop this transaction with a reason that we have not yet receive your confirmation for the payment of your non resident tax clearance fee's issued by the Federal Inland Revenue Board (FIRB).Making reference to section 702 sub section 271 chapters 57 vol.12 of the Ghanaian monetary trade and establishment law of 1985.
It is penitent to note that non resident taxes are being paid to The Federal Inland Revenue board (FIRB) before any transfer of fund could be effective.This funds goes to the development of the rural areas and communities in all the local government areas in the country.
We are hereby directed to inform you to provide to this bank the scanned copy of your receipt for the non resident taxes paid by you,as soon as we receive this confirmation from you via email,we would proceed with the transferring of your fund into your given bank account.Although we have all these details but still urge you to reconfirm your banking details to this office so that we won't held responsible for any occurance of errors in cause of remitting your fund into your given bank account.
Note that your payment will not exceed 48 hours from the date of the receipt of the above information, as long as you have fulfilled all obligations.
