"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: VERY URGENT NOTIFICATION ON THE TRANSFER OF YOUR FUNDS !

Attention: Mr.Justine Thyme,

There has been a very urgent development my good friend, I got your email requesting account details for the urgent transfer of the charges for the release of your contract funds.

But there has been several attempts to divert your funds by impostors and erstwhile officials in the senate, but I have thwarted all their efforts and have encoded the transfer codes into our systme for the onward transfer/remittance of your funds USD$25 Million as soon as we confirm the payment of the charges totalling USD$75,000. Below is the CBN agent account details for the payment of the charges.

HSBC BANK. LONDON
SWIFT: MIDLG B 22
CREDIT TO SWIFT: PIRBGRAA
BENEFICIARY: LENEY CONSULTING SERVICES LTD.
AC NO: GR 55 172 049049026885 521

Note that this account information should be used as stated above.

There is a need for you Mr.Justin to promptly transfer these funds so that our bank can confirm with our correspondence bank and as well issue a confirmation to that effect enabling a swift wire transfer of your USD$25 Million as soon as we endorse your payment release order.

This is to guide against so many plans to divert your funds, even before mailing you, i did try calling you severally to see if i can speak with you and intimate you on the details of all these issues but based on the time difference i now recalled you are not in the office but I am already in the office, I got a file askign for a change of Beneficiary account for the transfer of your funds and I immediately knew it was not from you, other wise it would have been signed by you as well, but this was brought by a man claiming to be your representative, and I asked them to return by friday or monday of next week so as to enable me review the application and also get across to you to infrom you of these plot. The time frame I gave them will enable me after the confirmation of your payment of the charges, initialize the transfer of your contractual entitlements.

Please ensure you call me only on this direct line which is my new cell phone: 234-803-344-5095 , my bank office line is been tapped by this impostors, because I believe it is an insider that is revealing our schedule to these corrupt government officials.

I assure you, once I confirm that you have paid by sending the payment slip,I will immediately endorse the release order and instruct our wire deprtment to swift transfer your contract funds at once.

Confirm this message by return mail and also call me hwne its convinient for you.

Have a pleasant day,

Sincerely,
