"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Compliment.

Dear.
My name is Mr. Muteteh Obu. a native of Ghana, Africa currently residing in Accra Ghana.

I am requesting your assistance in order to redeem an investment made with the West African Mining Corporation in which I am a senior Executive.

The said investment is total sum of SEVEN MILLION, US DOLLARS(US$7.000,000.00) was deposited by our client and contracted out to the West African Mining Corporation in September 1997.

This redeemable investment interest has now matured and been cleared for disbursement since March 2003.

Since then, there has been an extensive global wide attempt to locate and notify any of the relatives of our client being that he himself died in December of last year.

We have confirmed through three independent search agencies that there are no any of his relatives in whose favor the investment can be paid.Because of the fact that two senior colleagues and I are working as staffs in the accounts department of the Mining Corporation and INTERNATIOANL COMMERCIAL BANK ACCRA GHANA,

we have access to our client information. We can claim this money with you.All you have to do is to file this claim, proclaiming that you are the only surviving next of kin and beneficiary because your name matches with the late investor.

The fund can be paid into any designated account in which you provide in any country, and can be a new bank account specially for this purpose.

My proposal to you for your assistance is because this transaction will need a finacial support from both parties, you will withhold 25% of the total sum , while ensuring that my partners and I receive the remaining 75%.

Contact me now with my direct number +233 276 818 907.
I am waiting for your reply, and God Bless.

Truly,
Mr Muteteh Obu.
