"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Bless you

My Sister in Christ,
i am not dead yet but i am undergoing a lot of pains and i wish to go out of this world and rest in the bossom of the Lord.i was told by early september all will be over.
what is going to be is going to be and i dont want you to feel sorry for me because everyone of us has our burdens to carry,i have been carrying mine for sometimes now and i will be glad when the time comes for me to deliver it.
my assurance and joy is that when eventually the time comes,i will rest in the bossom of the Lord.
please i will want you to contact my lawyer on his mobile number;00229 95 05 36 50 and also on his email address; andr1_lawfirm@yahoo.fr because i have passed all instructions on how this money should be disbursed.he will give you the contact of the finance company in Rep of Benin and arrange how the money will be released to you for the purpose it was meant for.
i have lost my family in a car crash and this has made me decided to offer my assistance to the less priviledged and the orphans and other victims of mischap.with this gesture,i know GOD in his infinite mercy will forgive me of all my past attrocities because i have placed money before all other things when the going was good for me and i prefer this money goes to people who really needs it when i know now it can solve my problem.(vanity upon vanity, all is vanity).
i will advice you to call my lawyer on the number i have already provide you so that you can both discuss and arrange things between yourself as i cannot speak again due to the sickness( oesophagi cancer) and i want you to inform me how far you have gone on it.i will be assured if whatever thing he says tallies with your own.
may almighty GOD bless you and your family.
E.C.Makonni
