"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: IMMEDIATE RESPONSE REQUESTED.

Good Day,

I am Air Commodore Jack Kromah of the AFRICAN UNION PEACE KEEPING (A.U.P.K) statined here in Accra,Ghana. We have been detailed to leave by next week to air lift all African Union nationals who have been evacuated from Lebanon to Cyprus because of the war in the country.

Be informed that the Ghana Government/ the A.U have given orders to the defense ministry to deliver all consignments at the Kotoka International Airport to their respective owners on our way,Since we are leaving with the military aircraft. Among the consignments at the airport warehouse two belongs to you with your names tag on them. But before the delivery could take place you have to send to me upon your receipt of this mail, your detailed contact address, your identification (either driver’s license or international passport) this is to avoid delivery to a wrong person since they will be delivered personally by me. Also let me know the closest Airport to you to make it easy for me.

You are only required to pay for the Airport registration, for your information, I don’t have idea of the contents of the consignments.
This is a good opportunity for you to receive your consignments without delays and without going through customs procedures at the Airport here and at the point of arrival.

I am waiting to hear from you, you should give this matter the urgency it requires.

Regards,

Air Comm. Jack Kromah.
