"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Firstly, I plead on behalf of my country and the Central Bank of Nigeria for not contacting you all this while as regards to your Inheritance/contract payment which I know by now must have cost you some inconveniences, I am promising you on behalf of the Central Bank Of Nigeria that this will not repeat itself anymore and advice you to co-operate with this office and listen to my advice as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will not be held responsible for any lapses or mis-direction of your fund due to your inability of you to co-operating with me who is in-charge as the Executive Governor of the Apex bank (CBN).

Therefore, you are required to urgently re-confirm to me the following:

(1) Full name and Address
(2) phone, fax and mobile phone numbers
(3) company's name,position and address
(4) Contract/Inheritance Amount
(5) copy of international passport or Driver's License for Identification.

As soon as this informations are received, your payment will be made to you via Diplomatic Delivery Service or wire transfer direct to your nominated Bank acount overseas. Get back to me as soon as you receive this letter for further advise and directives for your immediate payment.
