"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

ATTENTION: DIRECTOR/C.E.O,

COMPLIMENTS OF THE DAY,

I am Mrs. Amina Bamaiyi, the wife of General Ishaya Bamaiyi who was the former Chief of Army Staff of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Immediately after the transition of my country from military to civilian Government, the incumbent civilian administration of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo decided to probe my husband activities while in office, simply because my husband was a good friend to the past military head of states that put him (Chief Olusegun Obasanjo)in prison for various offences ranging from treasons, coup plotting etc.

So, on Tuesday, October 12, 1999 he decided to arrest and put my husband in prison with all manners of allegations of stealing, attempted murders etc. And since this arrest I have been confused, frustrated and undergoing physiological torture as i have now turned a single parent i.e fending for my children all by myself. The Obasanjo did not stop at the arrest but went further to frozen all our foreign accounts together with other assets of my family.

Meanwhile on negotiating the release of my husband from prison, He(My husband) secretly told me recently that he has secretly deposited the sum of $24.5m (Twenty four million, five hundred thousand United states dollars only) with one of the SECURITY FIRM in South Africa whose name I cannot tell you now until we open communications. Based on this he instructed me to urgently source for an oversea person who is God fearing and trustworthy, that will act as the foreign beneficiary of the said fund and keep it on trust for us pending when he will be release from prison, then we can come over for investment in your country. Hence I decided to contact you to assist us safekeep the fund.

Be rest assured that you will be adequately rewarded as my husband and I has agreed to give you 20% of the money for all your assistance.

Please, this is the only money we have right now in our lives and i'm believing that you are not going to let us down.

As soon as you agreed to help me, I will release to you all necessary information that will facilitate the immediate release of the fund to enable you claim and receive the fund into your account. Please endavour to include your private telephone/fax number for easy communication and once you respond, i will then connect you with my son (Mr.Adams Bamaiyi) who is at the present living in South Africa for the sake of this transaction.

Please, let's keep this to ourselves alone.

I await your prompt and positive response to this mail.

Thank you and Almighty God bless you.
Regards,
Mrs. Amina Bamaiyi
For the family.
