"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Friend, I was married to the king Gbaka Gbaka 2nd of Evo kingdom of Rivers State before his demise. My husband was the ruler (king) of the above community, which is an autonomous and oil producing community. My husband was killed by some unknown people concerning the illegal drilling of oil from the community's oil wells, which my husband objected to, and this caused his death. In the course of the struggle against bunkering, my husband was killed. Since his demise, my kids and I have been subjected to penury, victimization and neglect. I have just laid down the above because I have US$8.5m dollars, which I would like to transfer and invest in your country to avoid and prevent further treachery and victimizations. I intend making you the sole beneficiary to these funds, so that I can transfer it. I want its transfer and investment very fast to avoid been seized .I am offering you 20% for your great assistance .If you are interested, please reply immediately. I am looking forward to your prompt response and full co- operation.
Best Regards,
Neneh West
