"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Mr. Everest,

Thank you for your mail, just like i told Mr. Jalmet this afternoon, that yesterday was a non working day, which means the church will be holding its service and so i should expect them to send the money as you requested to the claims inspector.

Sir, please i have told him to come first thing tommorrow morning as our time diffence will have affected the church sending the money for the VAT. I am sending a mail to the pastor in charge Pastor Roberts Isled.

Thanks,

Dr Tzee.

ATTN. DR. SAMUEL TZEE,

HOW ARE YOU TODAY, I JUST WANT TO INFORM YOU THAT WE HAVE SENT A PROPOSAL TO THE NIGERIAN DEPOSIT INSURANCE CORPORATION CONCERNING THE PROPOSED BANK DRAFT WHICH IS TO BE SENT TO YOUR BENEFICIARY IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

MR. JALMET HAS INFORMED ME THAT THE VAT CERTIFICATE IS NOT PAID FOR, I WILL LIKE YOU TO KNOW THAT AFTER THREE WORKING DAYS IF THEY DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THE VAT CERTIFICATE THE PROPOSAL SENT TO THEM WILL BE VOID.

DUE TO YOUR CONDITION AS YOU EARLIER MENTIONED, WE WOULD NOT LIKE THE PROPOSAL TO BE REJECTED AS IT WILL TAKE A FURTHER 21 DAYS TO PUT IN ANOTHER PROPOSAL. WE EXPECT THAT YOU ACT ACCORDINGLY.

THANK YOU,

MR EVEREST IZUKWU
