"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Attn: Hon.Contractor

I am aware of several efforts to clear and release your contract payment but all of which had failed and had caused you both time and money loss due to the activities of corrupt officials and criminalimpersonators who inflitrate the system. In the light of the above said, please be informed that we have floated a new disbursement strategy for outstanding contract payments for this 2006 fiscal year, which effectively and absolutely cancels the non-concluded payment proceedings of last year.

The new payment strategy is in such a way that its execution does not involve Nigerian officials and this is to safeguard our foreign contractors from being victims of the manipulative and extortion tendencies of Nigerian officials. In this new Payment System, a lot of inputs have been made to remove every bottleneck that previously made many contractors unable to receive their contract payment during the past years.

To this effect, a fresh foreign exchange allocation covering the total contract payment owed you has been made available for disbursement to your account. In accordance with this aforesaid new Payment Strategy for this financial year, we have appointed a firm of Credit Undertakers based in Spain, who will get the funds legalised first and foremost, prior to their transfer through their offshore bank account to your own receiving account.

The reason why we appointed the overseas based Credit Undertaking Firm is because we have come to realise that the major problem hampering the transfer of your funds to your account is firstly the man-made manipulation of Nigerian officials and secondly the lack of proper legalization of the funds, which makes it impossible for the wire transfer to successfully scale through the United Nations conditionalities for international fund transfers especially as required to guard against transfer of Terrorism funding and Money Laundering.

As you may agree with me. the processes of Legalising the funds appropriately are often techincal and complicated, and it is the major reason why you have not been successful in clearing and receiving your contract payment. This is why it has become paramount for us to engage the services of the Credit Undertaking Firm, who will get this done on your behalf.

Note that the nominated Credit Undertaking Firm is an expert in the field and I can assure you that you will enjoy the benefit of their services, which will facilitate the hitchfree transfer of your funds into your account. Their job will also reduce the burden on you and will shield you from interacting with Nigerian officials most of whom are the actual impediments to your contract payment.

However before giving you further details as well as the Credit Undertaking Firm in Spain, I must first of all receive your reply acknowledging the receipt of this email.

Mrs. Nemadi Usman
New Hon. Minister Of Finance
Federal Republic Of Nigeria.
