"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Dear Guardian from me Hassan

Dear Guardian,

I am hassan Wazziri, the son to Late Alhaji Abubakar Wazziri, who was a
business man and owned one of the largest Forex Bureau in Darfur, Sudan
Northern Africa. My father is now dead due to the present crisis in our
country Sudan.Sometime ago before the crisis he told me about some of his
consignment funds that he intended taking abroad for investment to his
foreign partner which he deposited in a finance holding house in Accra-Ghana
in a trunk box for safe keeping, and as his only male child he told me where
he kept the documents covering this funds before he was killed untimely.

After his death i had to confirm what he told me and i saw the
documentations covering the Consignment in Accra-Ghana and found it is
$6,500,000 united states dollars. As i am writing you this email i am now in
Accra-Ghana in the refugee camp and i intend leaving Africa with the
consignment.

I have the legal documents with me and i want to present you as my fathers
foreign partner to the security company to assist me retrieve and invest
this funds in a lucrative business in your country since it can released to
you, from what the documents indicate.

This prompted me to search for you as a reliable and God fearing person
that will not run away with my funds but rather invest it properly, i will
allocate some % of the total funds to as soon as we reach a conclusion.
Please get back to me i have the documents covering the consignment i need
your help to retrieve and also advice on how we can invest my funds when it
gets to you and i come over to your country to continue my education .

Faitfully yours
