"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello,

Good day to you. I am Mr. Daniel Jacobs.

First of all, I must tender my hearth excuse for barging in on you like this but you can be rest assured that i will not be sitting here writing you this mail if I have no reason to do so.

I will not waste your time and mine. I am a lawyer handling the estate of the Liberia former president, Mr. Taylor who is currently standing trial in the Netherlands for war crimes in Sierra Leon.

Mr. Taylor is at this moment fighting for his life, and he needs all the money he can lay his hands on. The problem is that his accounts are under serious watch night day. After i spoke with his wife and son, i was mandated to source for money for his defence else where. And that is where you come in. No body is asking you for your money or to send money to any body.

Mr. Taylor has over 12 metric tons of gold dust and bars in Ghana and Mali respectively. And i am seriously looking for a serious buyer. If you are ready, willing and able, then be advised that payment for the gold is by standby irrevocable, transferable, divisible unconditional letter of credit against a 2%pb issued by a prime bank in Europe.

We are giving the gold out at a good price. Selling price is $8000 USD per kg CIF.

Time is one thing that I do not have, therefore, if I do not hear from within 72 hours, i will take it that you are not interested and move on. If on the other hand i get a positive response from you, i will arrange for you to have a copy of the assay report and other things will follow. If we move fast enough, this deal should be closed within 14 working days.

I will that you include your personal phone and fax numbers while replying and please be informed that this transaction should be done with utmost confidentiality.

I await your respond.

Sincerely,

Daniel Jacobs, (L, LB)
