"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: FINANCIAL AIDS FOR HUMANITY

Dear friend,

You may be surprised to receive this mail, as you read this, don't feel so sorry for me because I know everyone will die someday. My name is Mrs. Maria Shepherd Alqawasmi of Alqawasmi Foundation which was a non-governmental foundation set up by my late husband, and also a business woman in United Arab Emirate. I have been diagnosed with esophageal cancer which was discovered very late due to my laxity in caring for my health. This sickness has defiled all forms of medications right now and I have only about few months' to live based on the recommendations of my doctor.

I have never particularly lived my life so well after the death of my late husband Sheik Ashraf Alqawasmi as I never really cared for anyone but my business empire. Despite the fact that God in His infinite mercies blessed me with so much wealth which i inherited from my late husband, I was never generous, I was always hostile to people due to he fact that they will take undue advatage of me because i felt all alone when my husband died but now I regret all this as I now know that there is more to life. I believed if God decides to gives me a second chance to come back to this world I would live my life in a different way from how I have lived it now, but now that God has called me through this way I have had a thorough rethink which has now made me to WILL most of my wealth and properties to my immediate and extended family because I want God to be merciful to me and accept my soul and also due to this reasoning, i have decided also to extend a hand of fellowship to give alms to CHARITY ORGANISATIONS and ORPHANGES , as I want this to be one of the last good deed I did on earth, so far I have distributed money and aids to some Charity Organization in countries like India and Sudan and Cambodia. Now that my health has deteriorated so badly, I cannot do this myself anymore.

I once asked my later husband's family members to close one of my accounts and distribute the funds which I have there to CHARITY ORGANSATION in Rwanda and Pakistan later i learnt through my financial adviser that they refused and kept the money to themselves knowing full well when i die they will utilise it for their personal aggrandisement. Hence, I do not trust them anymore as i have thought within me that they seem not to be contended with what I have left for them when giving alms to the poor is one of the last wish i want to fulfill before i leave this world. There are some good sum of money to the tune of £13,372,000:00 (thirteen million, three hundred and seventy-two thousand Pounds Sterling) in one of Alqawasmi Foundation accounts with a Financial and Security Company in the United Kingdom which i solemnly want to donate to orphanages, charities and NGO's because i perceive if i die and leave this gross some of monies, my late husband's family will have access to monies and still will not carry out my dying wish. I want to know if you can be of good help to dispatch these funds to CHARITY, NGO;s and ORPHANAGES. Be rest assured that 10% of this total amount is for you, your time and patience in carrying out this duties, while you donate the rest to CHARITY, NGO;s and ORPHANAGES in equal amounts.

May God be with you as you have decided to take a bold step to heal the world with me even in my demise as the case may be. My last message is that it pays to be good as that is the only thing that people will be remembered of you.

Best Regards,
Maria Shepherd.Alqawasmi
(Proprietress, Alqawasmi Foundation)
