"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Dear Madam,

Now that you are happy having been paid your debt of 10.5 Million USD,I want you to tell the world that this is real and that the United Nations and the Nigerian Government meant well.
Its a pity that may of the people we have written have not replied because of the fear that its another scam. How can they says its a scam when a Briton is involved.
You are not the only one that has written to appreciate this payment, I have received several others. Some people have not received because of the fear of swearing in an affidavit of support which cost little or nothing.
Use your money judiciously. My wife said you called her and gave her 50,000 pound sterling. You did not have to do this but thank you
God Bless You

Dear Sir,
Many of the clients have not come up with the affidavit of support and I cannot continue disturbing them .
You are free to contact them.
I am tired.
The Governor said he has paid some of the clients. About 8 of them have been paid..
