"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Dear beloved in the LORD

From: Mrs. Fatimo Abu.
#23 Les Caches,
St. Martins, Guernsey,
Channel Islands,
United Kingdom

I am Mrs. fatima Abu, I am married to late Eng. Haddad Abu, an expatriate engineer, who worked with the Mining and Smelting Company (Austrian de Zinc S.A.) in Spain, for 4 years. My late husband died during the Iraq and US war, in March 2003 in a bomb blast that hit our home and killed him instantly.

Before his death he made a vow to use his wealth for the down trodden and the less privileged in the society. since my husbands death I too have been battling with both cancer of the lungs and fibroid problem and right now as i am using this medium to telling you i am in the Hospital taking treatment. When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of (US$12.5Million) with a bank in Europe. Recently, my doctor told me that I would not last for the next two months due to my cancer problem. Though what disturbs me most is my undesirable stroke sickness, (Psalm 30:9) (Psalm 31:5)

Having known my condition I decided to donate this fund to either a charity organization or a devoted Christian individual that will utilize this money the way my attorney is going to instructed you with all sincerity to fund orphanages, charity organization and widows.

Since, I don't want a situation whereby this money will be used in an unholy manner, and couple with my bad financial experience with them. Hence the reasons for taking this bold decision. I know that after death I will be in the right hand of the Almighty God the most beneficent and most merciful. I don't need any telephone communication in this regard because of my health, and also, because of the presence of my late husbands relatives around me always.

As soon as I receive your reply, I shall give you the contact of the my attorney, attorney Marsh Brown authorizing him and letting him know that you are the new beneficiary to the funds of my late client that the said money have been willed to you and a copy of such authorization will be forwarded along to you.

Please always be prayerful all through your life. Any delay in your Reply will give room in searching for another person /organization for this same purpose. You will have 30% out of the total amount for all your time to carry out this dream, and if you incur any expenses during the process of claiming the funds from the deposited bank and to cover whatever expenditures to claim this money, then 70% to charity organizations, orphanages and widows.

Until I hear from you today unfailingly, my dream will rest squarely on your shoulders. May the Almighty God continue to guide and protect us. Please kindly let me know if you are not capable of handling this mission, so that can further my search for another trustworthy Christian individual to achieve my desire((Psalm 1.1-2).

Yours Sister in the LORD
Sister Fatimo Abu
