"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dearest Brother in Christ

I have recieved several mail from the Bank indicating that they have not been able to come to meet you bcause of the restriction which the Government placed on money laundry and they wanted you to come to Canada to recieved the Funds.

I don't want you to be troubled as they claim that they would return the funds back to the UK and it would incure more expenses and I have already wrote to the bank today take it back to their office as they cannot deliver the funds directly to you because I sence that this might be a way for them to hold on to my funds as they know well abou the illness that befalls me.

Please I want you to know that what ever they require I would do because I am not there and I do not want my funds to be confisticated because it has passed time they awaited me to come and claim my funds while I could not travel becaue I was ill.

My physician told me about someone that can assist me with financial need if that becomes a problem to get my funds from the bank and I would introduce that person to you as soon as my physicia get intouch with him that he would be ready to assist financially.

Contact the Bank again and let them know that the funds should be returned back as you are unable to get it from them in canada.

Regards

MARY parker
