"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Attention: Juliet Ufukme
Madam,

I write to acknowledge the receipt of your mail and its content noted.

I want you to understand that I have already printed out your mail and send to Mrs. Joy Anu, so that she can know exactly what I am saying. If you were so sensible enough, you would have noticed that the pattern and content of that mail that my Secretary sent to you was totally different from my mail. Though, I have cautioned her about writing any mail to any of our clients when I asked her to and address the person as if it were I.

I have never contravened any Nigerian law here and stop quoting the Laws of my homeland to me, which you don’t know fully well. I don’t doubt about corruption in Nigeria. Even in your country, there are corrupt people even in the government of your land. In ever country, there are good and bad people, but don’t use the bad ones to judge every one in my country. In the bible that you claim to profess, among the twelve disciples of Jesus, Judas was the corrupt one, but because of him, would you say that all the twelve disciples are corrupt?

I have never asked you to pay me for my services, but for the legal documents that we need to take to London for the remittance of the Anu’s wealth into your bank account. If not that Mrs. Joy Anu made me to know even before you contacted me that the money is not meant for your own personal gratification, do you think that any lawyer can take up this proceedings without you giving him money and as the normal practice in any financial dealings, the Attorney is entitled to 10% of it. Go and ask lawyers in your country that you know how this things work before you try to contact me again.

I am no charge-and-bail lawyer, I am a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), so when you are writing and addressing me, know whom you are dealing with. I am supposed to be pondering who you are and your antics. I a have tried to call you on the telephone you gave to me on several occasions, but it is always on a permanent answering machine and you have never called me back. If you are real and sincere, why have you not called a lawyer that is handling a transaction of this magnitude to you for at least once? Then tell me what I should be thinking about you?

I am writing to you and telling you nothing but the truth, I will never do any thing else with you unless you send the money for the documents, though I have already made some payments for some documents, I would rather prefer the money waste than me using my money to do those documents for you. Let me loose for the one I have already done with my money. Get serious and stop playing games with me if you are really an ordained man of God.

Yours in service,

Christopher Alima (SAN)
