"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

BARRISTER AUDU AHMED & ASSOCIATES CHAMBERS.
PLOT 45 OJO ROAD,
LAGOS NIGERIA.

Attn; Groot,

I am Barrister Audu Ahmed,a solicitor at law.I am the Personal Assistant to
late Engr.Fredrick Groot,a national of your country, who used to work with
Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC),lagos-Nigeria.On the 21st of
June 2003,my late client, his wife and their three children were involved in
a car accident along Sagbama Express Road.

All occupants of the vehicle unfortunately lost there lives. Since then I
have made several enquiries to your embassy to locate any of my late
client's extended relatives, this has proved unsuccessful. After these
several unsuccessful attempts, I decided to trace his relatives over the
Internet, to locate any member of his family but to no avail, hence I
contacted you. I have contacted you to assist in repartrating the money and
property left behind by my late client before they get confisicated or
declared unserviceable by the security company in Accra-Republic of Ghana,
where this huge deposits were lodged.

Particularly, the "security company" where the deceased had a deposit valued
at about $7.5 million dollars has issued me a notice to provide the "next of
kin" or have the deposit confisicated within the next three official working
weeks. Since I have been unsuccesfull in locating the the relatives for over
18 months, I seek your concent to present you as the relative and "next of
kin" to the deceased since you are from the same country so that the
proceeds of this deposit valued at $7.5 million dollars can be paid to you
and then you and i will share in this ratio, 40% to me and 35% to you, while
20% will be shared to various charity homes, old peoples home and motherless
babies homes, while 5% will set aside for miscellaneous expenses made by both
parties. I have all necessary deposit documents I took out from his shelve
when i heared of their death, that can be used to back up any claim we may
make.

All I require is your honest cooperation to enable us see this deal through.
I guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that
will protect you from any breach of the law as this deal has nothing to do
with my country Nigeria. Please get in touch with me through my private
e-mail Address: barrauduahmed@myway.com Or Telephone numbers
:+234–80-221-35601 to enable us discuss further. With an assurance that you
will not sit on the fund when it is finally claimed in Ghana.

Please contact me for further information and commencement of the
transaction.

1, Your full name,

we commence.
