"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Friend,
I am pleased to get across to you for a very urgent and profitable
business proposal, I got your e-mail address from the Internet while browsing, then I decided to contact you and ask for your assistance in this urgent matter, requiring trust and confidentiality.

I am Mr. Amal Ahmed Omar, the Branch manager, National Bank of Dubai, Ajman Branch - UNITTED ARAB EMIRATES, married with four children, two boys and two girls.
I am writing this letter to ask for your support and co-operation to carry out this business opportunity in my department.

On June 6, 1999, an American Oil consultant/contractor with Petroleum Corporation, Mr. David Ameeraly, made a numbered time (fixed) deposit for twelve calendar months, Valued at US$16,500,000.00 (Sixteen Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars) in my branch upon maturity. I sent a routine notification to his forwarding address but got no reply.

After a month, we sent a reminder and finally discovered from his
contract employers, the Petroleum Corporation that Mr. David Ameeraly, died in the plane crash On October 31, 1999, (an Egyptian Boeing 767 Flight 990) with other passengers on board as you can confirm it yourself via the website below:

On further investigation, I found out that he died without making a
"WILL" and attempts to trace his next of kin were fruitless. I therefore made further investigation and discovered that Mr. David Ameeraly did not declare any next of kin or relations in all his official documents, including his bank deposit paperwork in my bank. This sum of US$16,500,000.00 and the interest is being rolled over with the principal sum at the end of each year.

No one will ever come forward to claim it, and according to UNITTED ARAB EMIRATES FINANCIAL LAW, at the expiration of (seven) years; The money will be reverted to the ownership of the UNITED ARAB EMIRATES Government treasury if nobody applied to claim the fund.

My proposal is that I will like you to stand as the next of kin to Mr.
David Ameeraly, So that the fruit of this old man's labour will not get into the hands of some corrupt Government officials for their selfish interest. This is simple, I will like you to provide to me immediately your full name, direct line and address to enable me forward to you, the contact of our Bank Attorney for the preparation of the necessary documentations and affidavits which will put you in place as the legitimate next of kin as all deposit documents relating to the fund is safe with me.

Any bank account in any part of the world, which you will provide, will be accepted and then facilitate the transfer of this fund to you as the beneficiary/next of kin to the late Mr. David Ameeraly who is the original owner and depositor of the fund.

The money will be paid into your account for us to share in ratio of 60% for me and 30% for all your efforts and assistance in this
transaction while 10 % will be set aside for any expenses incurred while carrying out the transaction. I assure you that there is no risk at all as this transaction is 100% risk free on your side;
