"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: RE:{Spam?} RE:PLEASE TREAT AS URGENT..

Dear Mr. Maynard Berghagen,

Regrettably, I have discovered that you are not interested in this transaction and why waste your time in what you know that you are incapable of doing.

Note that you never won anything AND how you came about what ever winning you referred to is what I can not understand. As well, I want to thank you for the insult “RE:{Spam?}".

Thank you and God Bless.

Regards,

Mr. Maka Martins.

Thank you for your brilliant response.

Normally, one can never be completely trusting in these sort of things. It does make me recall a profound truism, A chicken is hatched even from such a well-sealed thing as an egg.

I am regrettably still uneasy and I am not aware how I was deemed the winner for this money.

Let me have some advice about a sticky point that is making me hesitant, what do you suggest I do about German banking laws regarding my new funds?

Please do reply. I am expecting to read something accommodating from you.

Hr Berghagen
